**Super Typhoon Bavi Approaching: Alishan Forest Railway to Implement Preventive Service Suspension**
According to forecast information from the Central Weather Administration, a sea warning for Typhoon Bavi is expected to be issued on July 9, followed by a land warning from late night on July 9 to early morning on July 10.
To prevent visitors from becoming stranded in the mountains and to ensure railway safety, the Alishan Forest Railway regular train departing from Chiayi to Alishan at 10:00 AM on July 9 (Thursday) will be suspended. Other trains on the main line between Alishan and Chiayi, as well as the Zhushan, Zhaoping, and Shenmu branch lines within the Alishan National Forest Recreation Area, will operate as usual. From July 10 to 12, all Alishan Forest Railway lines will be suspended as a preventive measure. The resumption of services will be announced separately depending on weather conditions and route inspection results.
For tickets you have already purchased, refunds may be processed. We apologize for any inconvenience caused. Passengers who have purchased Taiwan PASS and reserved seats on the Alishan Forest Railway main line will receive refunds calculated based on the proportion of usage.
